This past weekend, as Winter Storm Fern moved into the area, Lionville Volunteers staffed the station from Saturday evening through early Monday morning to ensure rapid emergency response throughout the storm.

A huge thank you to Harlan Tree Service for providing heavy-duty mats to protect our apparatus bay floors while we used tire chains, and to Montesano Brothers for quickly putting together a catering order that kept our crews — along with the Uwchlan Township Public Works Department and Uwchlan Township Police Department — well fed during the storm. Snow piled around fire hydrants can delay firefighters during an emergency. Clearing a 3-foot radius around hydrants keeps them visible and accessible when every second counts. If you see a hydrant near your home, please take a few extra minutes to shovel it out.
