| On December 27th, 2025, the Lionville Fire Company volunteers responded to multiple serious incidents stretching long throughout the day.
5:52am - Concord Ave, Uwchlan Township: House Fire Members were alerted to a house fire that was reported to have started on the back deck and was spreading to the house. Firefighters deployed three hose lines and then went into service for overhaul and ventilation to search for any remaining hot spots. One home occupant was transported to be evaluated for minor smoke inhalation. Lionville volunteers operated on the scene for 3 and a half hours before returning available for service again.
11:28am - Marchwood Shopping Center, Uwchlan Township: Fuel Spill Members were alerted to a vehicle that had struck an object in the roadway that had ruptured the fuel tank underneath, and was leaking fuel after being parked at Marchwood Shopping Center shortly afterwards. Firefighters used absorbent agents and liquid containment methods to contain the fuel from contaminating anything further. Volunteers operated on the scene for roughly 1 hour.
4:00pm - Keystone Valley Fire Department, Parkesburg Borough The Lionville Fire Company was requested in advance from the Keystone Valley Fire Department to standby at their firehouse from 4:00pm to midnight so their members could enjoy their annual Christmas party. Keystone Valley has provided similar services for Lionville in the past. The 6-person standby crew responded to two incidents while on call, a fire alarm at the Stottsville Inn, and a two vehicle accident at Valley Road and Strasburg Road. The crew was given a paid-for dinner and graciously released early at 9pm.
6:15pm - Eagleview Senior Housing, Uwchlan Township: Fire Alarm Smoke detector activation, no fire or smoke present, accidental activation.
9:33pm - Saddlebrook Circle, West Pikeland Township: RV Fire Members were alerted to a Van-style RV on fire in the driveway of a home, with close exposure to the house and one other RV also in the driveway. Due to the presence of full 30-gallon propane tanks in each RV, the Chester County 911 center requested the Chester County Hazmat team to respond, but were not needed. Firefighters saved the fire from spreading to the adjacent house and RV and extinguished the fire. Volunteers operated for roughly one hour before being alerted to the next call.
10:26pm - Hawthorne Road, West Brandywine Township: RIT response for House Fire While on scene cleaning up from the RV fire, Chester County alerted fire companies of a large 2-story single family house with heavy fire from both floors. Lionville Fire Company was due as the Rapid Intervention Team, and provided two fully-equipped RIT teams on each side of the structure. Firefighters operated as the active RIT crew before being stood down and released. Volunteers operated for roughly 2 hours, then returned to the station and finished the clean-up from the RV fire around 1:00am.
