Automobile Accident With One Trapped

On Sunday, October 12th, at 5:32 PM, The Lionville Fire Company along with Uwchlan Ambulance were dispatched to the 1900 block of Conestoga Road in West Pikeland Township for an automobile accident. Initial reports indicated that there was an overturned vehicle against a utility pole with a possible tree on fire. Deputy 47 and Uwchlan Ambulance arrived on scene to find one occupant in the vehicle was trapped, along with a live power line in surrounding trees that had started a fire.
Engine 47-5 arrived on scene; crews worked to stabilize the vehicle and started the extrication process. Rescue 47 arrived shortly after with more manpower along with additional stabilization and extrication equipment to assist.
The extricated occupant was transported by Uwchlan Ambulance. PECO arrived on scene shortly after to secure the hazardous electrical wires.
Lionville Volunteers operated on scene for roughly an hour and a half.
