Trailer Fire In Uwchlan

By Lionville Fire Company
April 2, 2023

On Sunday, April 2nd at 6:48PM, The Lionville Fire Company along with The West Whiteland Fire Company (6), Minquas Fire Company (46), Alert Fire Company (45), East Brandywine Fire Company (49), and Uwchlan EMS (87) were dispatched to the 300 block of West Uwchlan Ave in Uwchlan Township for a reported trailer on fire.

Chief 47 arrived moments later to find a trailer well involved in fire, which was quickly engulfing a second trailer and requested the Working Fire Dispatch, which brought additional resources to the scene.

Engine 47-2 and Engine 46-2 arrived, with each engine being assigned to conduct fire suppression for one trailer, along with searches to ensure all occupants were out of the structure. As additional units arrived, crews assisted with fire extinguishment, salvage and overhaul.

The fire in both units was quickly brought under control.

Only minor injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by both The Chester County Fire Marshal's and Uwchlan Township Fire Marshal's Office.

Special thank you to The Kimberton Fire Company for covering our fire district while we operated on this incident. Lionville Volunteers operated at the scene for 3 hours.
