At approximately 8:17PM on Wednesday October 29th, The Lionville Fire Company was dispatched to assist the Kimberton Fire Company on Yellow Springs Road in West Pikeland Township for a reported barn on fire.

The Fire Chief from the Kimberton Fire Company along with the West Pikeland Township Police Department confirmed a barn in the front of Lower Pine Creek Park fully involved in fire.

The Fire Chief, Deputy Chief, Assistant Chief, Engine 47-2, Engine 47-5 and Tower 47 all made the response on the incident.

Engine 47-2 established a fill site on Red Fox Lane, and filled up water tenders to shuttle water to the scene of the fire.

Engine 47-5 went directly to the incident scene bringing 3000 gallons of water to help extinguish the barn fire.  Engine 47-5 made multiple trips to the scene hauling 3000 gallons of water at a time.

Tower 47 was positioned to use the elevated water way to help extinguish the fire from above.

Crews operated for over 3 hours to help extinguish the fire.

The Lionville Fire Company would like to send out a special thank you to the Twin Valley Fire Department for covering Lionvilles first due while crews were operating at the barn fire.
