| Just after 4:30am Tower 47 was alerted to transfer Station 45 (Downingtown Alert) after they went on location of a working fire on the 200 block of Mary Street in the borough. As Tower 47 (FF Rachko) was backing into 45's house command struck the second alarm.
Due to Mary Street being block with apparatus the Tower went around the block and found a front row spot. The crew stuck the roof and cut a vent hole to improve conditions inside, while the other members of Tower 47 continued to throw multiple ground ladders. The two story balloon frame construction made fire suppression difficult. The fire found its way into the walls and eventually engulfing second floor and attic.
It took 2 hours to bring the fire under control. Good job to all crews on scene.
Tower operated for 3 hours
