Second Working Fire of the Weekend
By Lionville Fire Company
December 6, 2009
As Lionville crews were clearing the task force drill fireboard alerted 47 units to Peck rd. for a house fire. Deputy 47 (Chapman) added Engine 33-1 (Honey Brook) to the assignment due to them still being at the drill with Lionville units. Engine 47-2(Lt. Boyle), Tower 47(FF Rachko), and Engine 47-5(Asst. Chief Garver) responded.
47 Chief Officers arrived on scene with smoke showing from an attached garage. Engine 47-2 took the driveway stretching a line into the house were they met heavy smoke conditions in the garage. Tower 47's crew split, throwing grounds ladders and opening up inside for the Engine crew. Engine 47-5 reverse laid to the hydrant down the street to supply Engine 47-2. Crews found fire in the garage extending into the attic space. Lieutenant 47(Boyle) had fire operations. Fire was under control in 14 minutes.
