Fire In The First Due

Just before 5am, a reported house fire was dispatched to the 900 Block of Brittney Terrace in the first due. Downingtown Minquas (46) and Uwchlan Ambulance (87) were also on the box.
Chief 47 (Holmes) arrived first and reported heavy smoke from the basement and struck the working fire dispatch. The upgrade brought Engine 45 and 49 for the R.I.T assignment.
Engine 47-2 (FF B. Edwards) stretched an attack line into the basement where they meet heavy smoke conditions. Minutes later the Engine crew located a fire in the back of the basement and put a quick knock on the fire.
Engine 46-2 and Tower 47 (FF Tolento) crews ventilated the floors above the fire.
