| Tanker 47 - Retired 11-3-2008 A 1977 Autocar 2 person chassis with a 4 Guys stainless steel body and 3500 gallon stainless steel elliptical water tank. This vehicle is equipped with a 500 gpm Hale pump and has three electronically controlled dump valves, one on each side and one on the rear. This unit features two direct tank fills on the rear for rapid filling during tanker shuttle operations. This vehicle has a pre-connected 200ft 1 ¾ inch hoseline, an additional 200ft 1 ¾ inch hoseline, 300ft of 3 inch supply hose and 200ft of 5 inch supply hose. Additionally, this unit is capable of obtaining a draft from a creek or pond to refill on its own by use of 20ft of 4 inch hard sleeves and a low level strainer. Additional equipment carried on this unit is two complete SCBA units with spare cylinders, 40 gallons of class B foam and all necessary foam equipment and appliances, a 250 gpm portable pump, various fire suppression hand tools, extinguishers, handlights, and salvage covers. This vehicle responds second out for any type of fire in our non-hydranted response areas as well as responding as part of the Chester County Tanker Task Force mutual aid assignments.
