Traffic 47
2014 Chevrolet Tahoe PPV
Traffic 47 is a 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe Police Pursuit Vehicle, equipped with a 320 horsepower 5.3L gasoline V8 and a 6-speed automatic transmission with seating for 4. Traffic 47 is the primary unit for the Fire Police division of the fire company, which is responsible for securing incident scenes involving emergency services, ensuring safety of first responders, and controlling traffic and crowds away from emergency scenes. Traffic 47 is a reitred police vehicle graciously donated by the Uwchlan Township Police Department to continue service as a fire police vehicle for the fire company. A compliment of equipment is stored onboard:
- Mobile and portable radios
- Traffic cones
- Pyrotechnic road flares
- Electronic road flares
- Caution tape
- Barricades
- Handheld traffic control wands
- Traffic control flags
- Road closed / hazard / detour signage
- Helmets, high visibility vests, and various other high-viz personal protective clothing
