2008 Pierce Quantum Pumper-Tanker

Engine 47-5 is a 2008 Pierce Quantum 3,000-gallon Pumper-Tanker equipped with a 505-horsepower 14.8L Detroit Diesel DD15 diesel inline-6 engine, and an Allison 4000 series automatic transmission.  Engine 47-5 is first out for all automobile fires, tanker task force assists, and is the primary engine for our response portion of the PA Turnpike. Additionally, it is second out for all structure fires in non-hydranted areas of our first due, and functions as a backup engine when Engine 47-2 is unavailable. Has seating for 6 and Scott 45 minute SCBA for each.
