On Wednesday June 17, 2026 at 7:01 PM, the Lionville Fire Company along with Uwchlan Ambulance were dispatched to Route 100 and Rutgers Drive in Uwchlan Township for a reported 3 vehicle accident with one still trapped inside. Assistant 47 arrived, and established command of the scene. Additional ambulances were requested due to multiple patients.

Rescue 47 arrived on scene and began working to extricate one driver from a late model crossover, which had sustained heavy damage. Lionville members used hydraulic cutters and spreaders to remove the front and rear doors from each side of the vehicle to allow for EMS to gain better access to provide care, as well as to properly handle the victim while removing them from the car via backboard.

The trapped patient was extricated in just over 20 minutes from the initial dispatch time. 3 patients total were transported to a local hospital for treatment and evaluation of their injuries. Lionville volunteers operated on the scene for roughly 1 hour.
