37th ANNUAL ROBERT G. HOLMES MEMORIAL GOLF CLASSIC

On Saturday, June 14th, The Lionville Fire Company hosted the 37th Annual Robert G. Holmes Memorial Golf Classic at the Inniscrone Golf Club in Avondale. Over 100 golfers joined us for what turned into a great day on the course.

Robert Holmes was an active member of the fire company and held the position of Assistant Fire Chief when he died suddenly in 1982 from a heart attack. In 1988, to not only raise money for the fire company but also keep Bob’s memory alive, we held the 1st Annual Robert G. Holmes Memorial Golf Classic. The tournament was a huge success and has become an annual tradition for many people. The tournament is held every year on the Saturday of Father’s Day weekend and is always packed with a full house of contestants.
