On Sunday, March 23rd at 11:54pm, The Lionville Fire Company was dispatched to mile marker 308.4 West Bound on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Upper Uwchlan Township for a reported car fire. Initial reports had indicated that a vehicle had flames coming from the engine compartment and was spreading to the nearby hillside.

Both Engine 47-5 and Engine 47-2 arrived on scene, crews deployed a hose line and were able to quickly extinguish the fire.

Lionville volunteers operated at the scene for roughly an hour.
