At 11:03 pm, the Lionville Fire Company was dispatched for an MVA with entrapment on Route 100 at North Ship Road.

On scene, crews found a two vehicle MVA with one occupant entrapped. While EMS units treated the other patients, Rescue 47 went to work extricating the entrapped victim.

Crews stabilized the vehicle that was situated on all four wheels on the roadway. Once the vehicle was safely stabilized, crews removed the windshield then the roof of the vehicle and performed a vertical extrication of the victim from the passengers seat. Extrication of the victim from the vehicle was completed in 9 minutes after the arrival of Rescue 47 on scene.

Once the extrication was complete, crews assisted the towing companies with debris clean up while fire police continued to assist the Uwchlan Police Department with traffic control around the incident scene. Two of the five patients were transported by Uwchlan Ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. All units were clear of the incident scene at 11:37 pm.
