Afternoon Car Fire

On Saturday, February 18th at 4:17PM, The Lionville Fire Company was dispatched to the unit block of Pottstown Pike in Upper Uwchlan Township for a car fire. The Chester County 911 center advised that the engine compartment of a sedan was on fire and quickly spreading. The Upper Uwchlan Township Police Department arrived to find a vehicle in a parking lot fully involved. Engine 47-5 arrived and crews stretched a hose line and began extinguishing the flames. The fire was quickly brought under control. Lionville Volunteers operated at the scene for 30 minutes.
