On Friday, October 7th, at 8:51 PM, The Lionville Fire Company was dispatched to mile marker 314.3 East Bound on The Pennsylvania Turnpike for a reported vehicle fire. A 911 caller reported that there was sparks and black smoke coming from the vehicle.
While Engine 47-5 was responding to the scene, The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advised there were now flames coming from the vehicle. Engine 47-5 arrived moments later to find the vehicle well involved in flames. Fire crews deployed a hose line and began extinguishing the fire.
The fire was quickly brought under control, and there were no injuries reported.
Lionville Volunteers operated for 36 minutes. |
