On Thursday, August 20th at 5:41PM, The Lionville Fire Company was dispatched for the full company to assist The West Whiteland Fire Company and Chester County Hazardous Materials Team on the 300 block of Commerce Drive in West Whiteland Township for a Hazardous Materials Incident involving a tanker truck on fire.

Engine 47-2, Tower 47, Engine 47-5, and Deputy 47 quickly responded to the scene.

Crews worked together in conjunction with the Hazardous Materials Team to coordinate investigation of the product inside of the tanker, extinguishing the fire, controlling run off, and clean up of the scene.

Lionville Volunteers operated at the scene for 3 hours.
