On Monday, June 29th at 11:38 PM, The Lionville Fire Company was dispatched to the 100 block of Lake Drive in Downingtown Borough, to assist The Downingtown Fire Department with a reported house fire. Initial reports indicated that there was a fire in the attached garage which was quickly spreading to the house.

Downingtown units arrived to find fire showing from the garage, extending into the house. Engine 47-2 arrived and established a water supply from a nearby fire hydrant. Crews from both Engine 47-2 and Engine 47-5 worked with other responding units to quickly bring the fire under control.

As Lionville Volunteers were wrapping up in Downingtown, at 1:19 AM The Lionville Fire Company was dispatched to assist The Glen Moore Fire Company at The Peter J. Camiel Service Plaza on The Pennsylvania Turnpike for a reported building fire. Employees were reporting the building filling with smoke.

Units arrived to find the issue being caused by a malfunctioning HVAC unit on the roof. The incident was safely mitigated and Lionville Volunteers cleared the scene at 1:51 AM.

Special thank you to The Valley Forge Fire Company for covering our fire district while we operated in Downingtown.
