On Friday, June 19th at 3:22PM while Lionville Volunteers were already out investigating an alarm, The Lionville Fire Company along with Uwchlan Ambulance were dispatched to the intersection of Route 113 and Route 401 in West Pikeland Township for an accident with possible entrapment.

Engine 47-2 immediately cleared its previous assignment and responded to the scene along with MICU 87-1.

Units arrived to find a two vehicle accident with the driver of one car trapped inside. Crews quickly went to work, removing the door in order to free the occupant. Lionville members also simultaneously removed the patients uninjured dog from the vehicle, and kept him secured until he could be picked up by family members.
