On Wednesday, May 20th at 3:56am, The Lionville Fire Company along with Uwchlan Ambulance were dispatched for an accident with unknown injuries on The Pennsylvania Turnpike at mile marker 307.5 West Bound. Caller reported a vehicle versus the guard rail.

Assistant 47 and Rescue 47 responded, while en route the assignment was upgraded to a subject trapped after a second vehicle struck the accident scene. Upon arrival the crew stabilized the vehicle, setup extrication tools and went to work to remove the patient from the vehicle. Crews quickly extricated the patient in 4 minutes. Minquas EMS also responded to the scene with an additional ambulance.

The patient was transported to a local hospital for treatment and evaluation.
