On Wednesday, January 22nd at 3:21PM, The Lionville Fire Company along with mutual aid were dispatched to the unit block of Hawthorne Circle in Warwick Township to assist The Twin Valley Fire Department with a house fire.

Rescue 47 responded as part of the Rapid Intervention Team (RIT). RIT is a team of firefighters dedicated solely to the search and rescue of other firefighters in distress. First arriving units found the house well involved in fire and began extinguishing the flames.

Upon arrival of Rescue 47, the RIT team was stood down. The crew from Rescue 47 was split into two different teams. One crew went to the second floor to assist with pulling down the ceiling to find hidden fire and assist with extinguishment, while the second team ventilated the roof of the structure.

Engine 47-5 also responded to the scene to assist with a water supply, due to a lack of fire hydrants in the area.

Lionville Volunteers operated at the scene for 2 hours.

Special thank you to The West Whiteland Fire Company for covering our district while we operated on this incident.
