Initial reports indicated that the barn was fully involved in flames. Chief 73 arrived moments later and confirmed the report.

Engine 47-2 and Tower 47 quickly responded, upon their arrival Tower 47 was instructed to come up the driveway and prepare to put their aerial master stream in service, while the crew from Engine 47-2 assisted 73 with fire suppression. Rescue 47 and Engine 47-5 arrived soon after, with Engine 47-5 assisting with shuttling water to the fire scene due to a lack of fire hydrants in the area.
