Building Fire In East Whiteland

On Tuesday, September 10th at 1:12am, Lionville Volunteers were returning from an emergency in Uwchlan Township when they were dispatched to assist The East Whiteland Fire Company (5) and other mutual aid companies at the 100 block of Planebrook Road in East Whiteland Township for a working building fire.

Engine 47-2, Chief 47, and Battalion 47 responded immediately, and were quickly followed by Tower 47, Utility 47, and Squad 47.

Upon arrival of the first arriving units, heavy fire conditions were evident.

Engine 47-2 arrived and was instructed to connect to a fire hydrant at Planebrook Road and Prospect Ave and establish a water supply for Engine 6-1 and Ladder 6 (West Whiteland).

Tower 47 arrived, crews went to work assisting with fire suppression and overhaul of the structure.

Lionville Volunteers operated at the scene for 3 hours
