Accident With Entrapment In Uwchlan

On Thursday, August 29th at 10:40AM, Uwchlan Ambulance was dispatched to the intersection of W Uwchlan Ave and Gordon Drive in Uwchlan Township for an auto accident with unknown injuries. MICU 87-1 arrived to find one subject trapped in the vehicle and quickly upgraded the incident to entrapment.
At 10:44AM, The Lionville Fire Company was now dispatched to assist. Rescue 47, Engine 47-2, and Engine 47-5 responded to the scene. Once on location, crews worked quickly to remove both the driver and rear driver side door in order to extricate the patient from the vehicle.
The patient was removed from the vehicle and transported to a local trauma center for evaluation.
Lionville Volunteers operated at the scene for 25 minutes.
