First Due Building Fire

On January 18th, at 6:15 pm The Lionville Fire Company, along with The Glen Moore Fire Company (48), Ludwigs Corner Fire Company (73), West Whiteland Fire Company (6), and Uwchlan Ambulance (87) were dispatched to the 700 block of Pennsylvania drive in Upper Uwchlan Township for a reported building fire.

Engine 47-2 and Chief 47 quickly responded and were advised by The Chester County 911 Center that the caller reported flames coming from boxes in racked storage in the warehouse portion of the facility; additionally the alarm monitoring company called and advised that they had sprinkler activations in the building.

Engine 47-2 arrived to find smoke showing from the rear of the building. Crews deployed a hose line to the interior of the building and began extinguishing the fire. Engine 48-5 arrived, and supplied water to Engine 47-2 while their manpower began assisting with the fire attack.

The incident was quickly brought under control, and company’s began overhauling and ventilating the building.

Lionville Volunteers operated at the scene for 2 hours.
