On Sunday, January 15th, Lionville Volunteers traveled to Singerly Fire Company in Elkton, Maryland to attend the funeral services of Life Member Walter Trego.

Walter joined the Lionville Fire Company as a young man and served as a Firefighter.

Walter moved to Elkton, Maryland to manage his business Trego Bros. Inc., and that was when he joined Singerly Fire Company, where he was also a life member.

Walter Joined Singerly as a probationary member on April 26, 1971. He served as the company engineer in 1972, 1977, 1997, and 1998.

At Singerly, he was an active firefighter, an emergency vehicle driver and also served on the Board of Directors for many years, in addition to a number of other jobs he held.

Tower 47 took part in a memorial arch, which Walter passed through as he took one last ride to his final resting place.
