Saturday May 2nd proved to be a busy day for Lionville's volunteers. The day started at 8:30 AM when the company was dispatched to assist the ambulance with a unconscious person in Uwchlan Township. Squad 47 quickly responded and assisted EMS with patient care.

Shortly after clearing from the first call, a crew took Tower 47 which had been specially requested to assist with the Glenmoore Eagle Little League opening day at Hickory Park in Upper Uwchlan Township. Tower 47 proudly flew the American Flag for the national anthem.

At 1:19 PM The Lionville Fire Company, along with Uwchlan Ambulance, and The Chester County Hazardous Materials Team were dispatched to Hickory Park in Upper Uwchlan Township for a possible hazardous materials incident. Chief 47 and Deputy 47 quickly arrived and found there was no risk to the public or environment.

Just after 3PM, the company was alerted as part of the Chester County Technical Rescue Task Force to assist with a technical rescue in Saint Peters Village. Chief, Deputy, Rescue, and Squad 47 responded and assisted other companies with extricating the patient.

Finally at 6:35 PM the company was alerted to the 1600 block of Conestoga Road for a reported trash fire. The West Pikeland Township Police Department arrived and determined the situation to be a controlled burn with no fire company services needed.
