RV Fire On The Turnpike

On Thursday, June 29th at 17:34 hours, the Lionville Fire Company was dispatched to the Pennsylvania Turnpike (Eastbound) at mile marker 316.7 for a reported RV on fire. Chief 47 responded and was advised by the Chester County Fire Radio that supplemental reports were indicating that a RV was on the side of the roadway, fully involved in fire. With this report Engine 5-5 (East Whiteland) & Engine 48-5 (Glen Moore) were added to the assignment.

Chief 47 arrived on scene with a 40 foot RV fully involved in fire. Engine 47-5 & Engine 5-5 stretched multiple attack lines to extinguish the fire. The fire was quickly brought under control.

Lionville volunteers operated on scene for an hour, before clearing the scene.
