Volunteers Train on FF Safety and Survival

February 27, 2014

The Lionville Fire Company Volunteers did not let the cold weather, or snow on the ground, keep them from training. On this evening, the Lionville Volunteers trained on how to escape from a burning building when things go bad. Often there are times when firefighters must enter burning homes under extreme heat and zero visibility to search for trapped victims. Knowing how to get out of a situation when trouble arises is essential for firefighter survival.

In 2013, the Lionville Volunteers dedicated over 5,000 hours to training.
