| On January 6th, 2014, the West Whiteland and East Whiteland Fire Companies were dispatched to the 900 block of East Lincoln Highway, in West Whiteland Township, for an apartment fire. Chief 6 (West Whiteland) arrived on location and found fire showing from a two story building. Chief 6 immediately requested that the 2nd alarm be dispatched.
The 2nd alarm brought Lionville Tower 47 and Rescue 47 to the scene, along with additional units from East Whiteland. Lionville volunteers assisted with roof ventilation and fire suppression.
Lionville volunteers operated for over 3 hours at the fire. Thank you to Minquas Fire Company (Downingtown Fire Dept) Engine 46-2 for standing by at Station 47. Engine 46-2 provided coverage for Lionville while units assisted West Whiteland. |
