On Sunday February 24th, 17 members traveled to the West Chester Fire Training Center to train on confined space rescues. The day started off with members splitting into two groups. The first group trained on rescuing a victim out of a confined space vertically, while the second group trained on getting a victim out of a confined space horizontally. Once the groups successfully extricated their patients, the two groups switched.

After both groups were finished, the scenario training began. Crews arrived to find a patient that was unconscious in a large storage tank. Crews were put into different roles, with one crew assigned to air quality monitoring, another assigned to ropes/rigging, and the last group was the entry and backup team. After it was determined that the air quality was not sufficient, the entry team donned SCBA (Self-contained breathing apparatus). Crews were lowered into the storage tank, and were able to safely extricate the patient.
