| Lionville Fire Company hosted a 48 hour Pumps training class. Twelve members completed the PA State Pumps I & II course. Instructors from Chester County Fire Academy came to the station to train the members on basic pumping skills and techniques. Completing the course were new prospective driver operators, and veteran operators refreshing their skills.
The course consisted of a class room portion and 3 days in the field applying learned skills. Some of the learned skills included Tank and Drafting Operations, Hydrant Operations, Relay Pumping, and Pump Testing.
In the near future the members will challenge the National Driver Operator certification.
