| At 8:46 PM, the company was dispatched to 600 block of Eagleview Blvd for a fire alarm. Due to crews being on station, Engine 47-4 and Tower 47 responded immeadiately after dispatch. Engine 47-4's crew arrived onscene to find a smoke condition on the 3rd floor of the building. The assignment was upgraded to the building fire, bringing West Whiteland (6) and Downingtown Minquas (46) to the scene. Tower 47 immediately set up the main so firefighters could check the roof. Engine 47-2 was the third arriving unit; as the driver found the hydrant, Engine 47-2's crew took the high rise pack up to the second floor to stand-by. Assistant 47 had "Eagleveiw Command". Deputy 47 had 3rd floor operations. Captain 47 had 2nd floor operations. Upon further investigation it was determined that the smoke condition was caused by a mafunctioning motor on an HVAC unit located above the ceiling tiles. Crews operated for an hour before returning to station. |
