First Due Basement Fire

At 4:52pm, 47 units were alerted to the 200 Block of Stoughton Circle for an electrical fire inside, with an updated report of heavy smoke on the first floor. Deputy 47(Chapman) upgraded the assignment bringing West Whiteland (06) for an Engine and Uwchalan Ambulance (87). Deputy 47 and Engine 47-2 (FF B. Edwards) arrived on scene moments later. Engine 47-2's crew stretched a line and were met with heavy smoke at the front door. Crews found fire in a closet and began knocking it down while the crew from Tower 47 (FF Schimpf) began ventilation.

47 operated for just over an hour.
As units were clearing the scene Engine 6-1 was dispatched to Lancaster Ave. in their first due for an accident with entrapment. First arriving units found a vehicle submerged in high water with one heavily trapped. Captain 6 requested a second rescue bringing Rescue 47 to the scene. Units from West Whiteland made a quick extrication of the victim and 47 units were recalled as they were arriving on scene.
