Rescue Goes into Service Again on the Turnpike

At 4:10pm Rescue 47, Engine 47-5, and Deputy 47 responded to the west bound lanes of the PA Turnpike for a reported accident with entrapment. Deputy 47 arrived first and found a single vehicle accident with two trapped. The crews from Rescue 47 (Batt. Chief Minahan) and Engine 47-5 (FF Mennor) removed the doors and roof of the pick-up truck to gain access to the patients. Both patients were transported to a Trauma Center. One patient was flown by air medical.
Deputy 47 had "Turnpike Command"
Engine 48-1(Glenmoore) was dispatched the plaza to handle the helicopter landing.
