On Thursday, February 2nd at 5:42 PM The Lionville Fire Company, along with The Kimberton Fire Company, Ludwigs Corner Fire Company, and Uwchlan Ambulance were dispatched to the 500 block of Woodberry Lane in West Pikeland Township for a reported house fire.

Engine 47-2 and Deputy 47 immediately responded and were advised by The Chester County 911 Center that a there was a fire in the attached garage, and it was spreading to the house. Based on this report, Deputy 47 requested the "Working Fire Dispatch", which added The West Whiteland Fire Company, Minquas Fire Company, and an additional medic unit from Uwchlan Ambulance.

Engine 47-2 arrived to find the garage of the house fully involved, with extension into the second floor of the home. The crew split into two teams, with the first deploying a hose line into the structure to begin extinguishing the fire, while the other team started searching the residence to make sure all of the occupants were out.

As more crews arrived, they deployed additional hose lines into the second floor of the home to quickly to bring the fire under control.

We thank our mutual aid companies for their assistance, and a special thank you to The East Whiteland Fire Company for covering our fire district while we were operating at this incident.

Our Thoughts and Prayers are with the family during this difficult time.

Lionville Volunteers operated at this incident for 3 hours.
