On January 18th, at 12:28 pm, The Lionville Fire Company was dispatched to the unit block of East Uwchlan Ave in Uwchlan Township for a reported active gas leak. The Uwchlan Police Department had arrived at a property damage accident to the rear of a strip mall to find a box truck had struck a vehicle, which resulted in the vehicle hitting the building, and sheering off the gas service to the structure.

Engine 47-2 and Chief 47 arrived to find a 1 inch natural gas pipe actively leaking. Crews were able to quickly secure the leak, and checked the nearby businesses with gas meters to make sure no high readings were found within the stores.

Lionville Volunteers operated at this incident for approximately 40 minutes.
