House Fire In Upper Uwchlan

On Monday, October 5th at 3:08 PM, The Lionville Fire Company along with The Glen Moore Fire Company (48), Ludwigs Corner Fire Company (73), Fame Fire Co. No. 3 (53), and Uwchlan Ambulance Corps (87) were dispatched to the 500 block of Milford Road in Upper Uwchlan Township for a house fire.

Engine 47-2 responded and was advised by the Chester County 911 Center, that the Upper Uwchlan Township Police Department were on the scene with smoke showing from the residence. Engine 47-2 requested the working fire dispatch which brought assistance from The East Brandywine Fire Company (49), Minquas Fire Company No. 2 (46), and The West Whiteland Fire Company (6).

Deputy 6 arrived at the scene and reported a working basement fire. Engine 47-2 arrived and crews deployed a handline into the basement and began extinguishing the flames. Engine 48-5, Engine 73-2 and Tanker 73 arrived and assisted with fire suppression, while the crew from Tower 47 conducted a search and assisted with ventilation. Crews were able to quickly bring the fire under control and mitigate the situation. Additionally, during the secondary search firefighters were able to rescue three reptiles from the home. Thankfully there were no injuries reported.

Lionville Volunteers operated at the scene for 3 hours.
