National Fire Prevention Week is October 8-14th.
In a fire, seconds count. Seconds can mean the difference between residents of our community escaping safely from a fire or having their lives end in tragedy.
That’s why this year’s Fire Prevention Week theme: “Every Second Counts: Plan 2 Ways Out!” is so important. It reinforces why everyone needs to have an escape plan.
The Fire Company will celebrate National Fire Prevention Week 2017 with an Open House, at our Fire Station, on Thursday, October 12th, at 6 p.m.
Highlights for this year's open house include: a firefighting demonstration, tour of the firehouse, fire helmets for the kids, free giveaways, preparedness and fire safety information, a coloring contest for kids 10 years and under, as well as food and drinks.
