This week the volunteers of the Lionville Fire Company took part in a training exercise on vehicle rescue operations. In this scenario-based training, Members were faced with an accident involving four vehicles, one of which was overturned with a person trapped inside. This exercise allowed the Members to practice vehicle stabilization, using both rescue struts and cribbing. In addition, Members practiced extrication techniques using hydraulic rescue tools, as well as refined patient packaging skills.

Special thanks to Abel Brothers Towing (Phoenixville) for allowing us the use of their salvage yard and vehicles.
