By Lionville Fire Co.
June 6, 2012

At 16:45 on June 6th, the Lionville Fire Company was dispatched for an engine to relocate to Station 38, while they were operating at a working building fire in the City of Coatsville.

While enroute to Station 38, Engine 47-2 was called to the scene on the 3rd Alarm Assignment, to the 600 block of Coates Street.

Once the engine arrived on scene the crew reported to the Command Post to get their orders. The engine crew was sent to the roof to assist with vertical ventilation of the large row home. Multiple trench cuts were made by the crew, to assist in stopping the fire from spreading into the adjacent units. While crews operated on the roof, a few members pulled a line into the fire building to help with fire suppression.

Engine 47-2 operated for about 3 hours at the scene.
